“Magical of Harmony: Singing with Happiness “

Content:  There's a certain magic that fills the air at Saint Raphael Church on Sundays. It's not just the stained-glass casting mesmerizing patterns of light, nor the scent of incense carried on the breeze. It's the sound. It's the collective voice of the Saint Raphael Choir, rising in a tapestry of melody and harmony that stirs something deep within your soul, this blog aims you to know the

Singing is my favorite hobby since I was 9 years old, my voice wasn't that good back then, I only used when I sing is videoke, until grade 4 someone invited me to join choir group and I auditioned. When I entered as a member of the choir, at first, I was still shy until it took years of my choiring, what I learned was not only singing but how to get along and be together as a family. They really teach me how to sing correctly, the right techniques to improve the quality of my voice even more. Now I can say that the quality of my voice has improved and I'm so thankful that the songs I'm learning are about God. But as I took my place among the other voices, something remarkable happened. The apprehension melted away, replaced by a warmth that spread through me like the sunlight streaming through the church windows. Every time we have a rehearsal, you must not always be late and you must always arrive on time, every time we start, we pray and prioritize the health of what is happening in our lives and also have bible sharing, it is a good feeling to have this kind of work because this is also where you get rid of your problems and the feeling becomes lighter when you have someone to lean on like your family.

For me, singing in the choir was an act of self-discovery. It was a space where I could embrace my vulnerabilities, letting my voice become a part of something larger than myself. It was a place where I learned to listen, to pay attention to the nuances of harmony, to find the beauty in the imperfections of our voices woven together.

Singing with  SRC FAM became more than just a Sunday commitment; it became a source of strength and solace. During life’s challenges, the choir offered a refuge, a space where I could find solace and a sense of belonging. It taught me the importance of community, the power of music to uplift and heal, and the beauty of uniting voices in shared purpose.

The magic of the Saint Raphael Choir lies not just in the beautiful music we create, but in the sense of unity and belonging it fosters. It is a reminder that even in a world that often seems divided, music can bridge divides, uplift spirits, and bring joy to our hearts. It is a reminder that singing together, with open hearts and voices, can create a symphony of harmony, a testament to the power of faith, and the beauty of shared human experience.
